Teachers, Principals, and Parents Discussed Students’ Digital Well-Being within the Framework of TechWell

On July 9, 2025, a national workshop and focus groups with students were held in the T’each’One space (Garitage Park, Sofia) on the TechWell – Digital Wellness in Schools project, co-financed by the Erasmus+ Policy Experimentation program.

The event brought together teachers, principals, parents, and education and technology experts to discuss the challenges and solutions related to students’ digital habits. In the working groups, participants shared their experiences on topics such as:

  • Excessive use of devices and balance between online and offline activity;
  • The impact of social networks on mental health;
  • Teachers’ needs for effective support in a digital environment;
  • The role of family and school in building sustainable and healthy digital habits.

The collected feedback will be used to develop the Digital Wellbeing Suite (DWS) – a toolkit of strategies, methodologies and training resources, which will be tested in schools in six European countries.

The workshop in Sofia proved how important it is to hear different perspectives – of students, parents, teachers and principals – so that TechWell can offer solutions adapted to the real needs of the school community in Bulgaria and Europe.
